Parolee, suspected pimp arrested near Santa Rosa hotel

A Vallejo man suspected of being a pimp was arrested by police Thursday in Santa Rosa.

Adrian Nicholas, 21, was arrested by a Santa Rosa officer who reported seeing him leave a Santa Rosa hotel with a woman whom the officer suspected was working as a prostitute.

At a traffic stop for a reported vehicle code violation, Nicholas was found to be out on parole in Solano County for robbery.

Police said Nicholas met the woman three weeks ago through a social media site, where the initial correspondence was about "establishing a romantic relationship." Several days later, Nicholas offered her work as a prostitute, police said. He had her work out of hotels in Santa Rosa and Vallejo and was profiting from her work, police reported.

He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on pimping and parole violation charges, with bail set at $200,000. The female, whose age and hometown were unavailable, was referred to Sonoma County services for human trafficking and abuse victims.
