Foster child concerns

EDITOR: I read with interest your Los Angeles Times article Thursday on foster child abuse in California ("Foster children in state at risk.")

However, when I searched for the comment thread online, the story had disappeared from your full online site, thereby disallowing comments on the local nature of these abuses. Foster children are, in many cases, supervised locally by Sonoma County Youth and Family Services.

My suspicious nature leads me to wonder if the story may have been pulled for political reasons.
