Ongoing hotel projects in Sonoma County

Owners of 25 Sonoma County lodging properties have applications in some stages of the approval process, according to fourth-quarter 2009 data collected by the Sonoma County Economic Development Board.

If all 25 are completed, they will add 1,187 to 1,237 rooms to the county's hotel inventory. The first, h2hotel in Healdsburg, will open in July. Here's a complete list of the other projects, with details about many of them.

Bodega Coast Inn: Proposed 12-room expansion is on hold due to financing issues. Project will likely begin in 2011. 521 Highway 1, Bodega Bay, www.bodegacoastinn.com

Morton's Warm Springs: Proposed 13-room campground/resort expansion will not move forward until owner Bernard MacElhenny's request for a year-round permit has been granted. 1651 Warm Springs Road, Glen Ellen, www.mortonswarmsprings.com

Kenwood Inn: Six-room expansion plan has been approved, but remodeling projects have taken precedence so as to not disturb guests during high season. No date has been set for completion. 10400 Highway 12, Kenwood, www.kenwoodinn.com

Vintner's Inn: Plans to expand from 44 rooms to 80 are on hold due to the economy. There are no plans to move forward on construction this year. 4300 Barnes Road, Santa Rosa, www.vintnersinn.com

Sea Ranch Lodge: 40 rooms, 60 Sea Walk Drive, Sea Ranch

NEW HOTEL DEVELOPMENT

Alexander Valley Resort: A 100- to 150-room hotel is part of a proposed 254-acre resort on a former lumber mill site in southeast Cloverdale. The project has city approval, but Concord-based Tyris Corp. must find financing and partners before construction begins. Forestville Square Inn: An 18-room inn is part of Orin Thiessen's proposed mixed-use redevelopment of Forestville's town square. Wolf House Inn: Proposed 46-room condominium hotel and spa next door to Jack London Village went to the auction block this spring after the developer defaulted on a $2.9 million loan. 14211 Arnold Drive, Glen Ellen.

Saggio Hills: Proposed luxury resort, spa and housing project includes a 130-room hotel. in north Healdsburg east of Healdsburg Avenue. Several steps remain before the city will consider approving the project. Developers are Encinitas-based Robert Green Co. and Sonoma County's Korman Development Inc. www.saggiohills.com

Garden Court Inn: Impact studies for the proposed 23-room hotel were completed in 2007, but the project is on hold while Healdsburg redesigns the corridor. Sonoma County-based developers Charles Evans and Eric Drew have filed for two extensions. 146 Healdsburg Ave., Healdsburg.

Campagna Resort: A 50-room luxury resort approved for the former Graywood Ranch site is on hold due to the economy. The property is owned by Mill Valley-based Auberge Resorts. 7945 Highway 12, Kenwood, www.aubergeresorts.com

Guerneville Park Resort: A $25 million, 9.7-acre project west of Guerneville includes a 120-room hotel, restaurant and spa. The project, owned by Rick Lok, is still in the county approval process and won't be developed until the economy recovers. 17155 Highway 116, Guerneville

Silk Mill Hotel: Plans for a 95-room hotel in this historic silk mill are on hold due to the economy. Property is owned by San Mateo hotelier B.B. Patel. 450 Jefferson St., Petaluma

Fairfield Inn: Studies have been completed for a 108-room hotel near Santa Rosa Marketplace. Construction plans are on hold while owners Raman and Kanal Patel find financing. 111 Commercial Court, Santa Rosa.

Broadway Place Inn: An 18-room, two-story hotel has been proposed near Sonoma's historic plaza. Preliminary plans have been approved to move an 1899 farmhouse from the site and renovate another farmhouse for lodging. Wikiup Stables B&B: 3 rooms, 4900 Carriage Lane, Larkfield

Schomp B&B: 3 rooms, 501 Sandretto Drive, Sebastopol

Powell B&B: 3 rooms, 17061 Highway 116, Guerneville
