Another exec leaves River Rock

River Rock Casino's chief operating officer, John Cirrincione, has left the tribal gaming business in Alexander Valley, the second top executive to step down in less than two months.

River Rock Entertainment Authority, which operates the casino for the Dry Creek Pomo tribe, said Thursday he left "to pursue other interests."

Cirrincione had been River Rock's chief operating officer since 2008. He became River Rock's acting general manager in December after CEO and general manager Scott Garawitz resigned.

River Rock's chief financial officer, Joseph Callahan, will take over as acting CEO and general manager while it seeks a permanent chief executive, the authority said.

River Rock posted revenue of $29.7 million for the quarter ending Sept. 30, down nearly 8 percent from the same period in 2008. The casino shelved plans for a major expansion in 2008 after U.S. financial markets crashed.
