Guerneville home moved to make way for low-income housing

The Marshall House was moved along Guerneville's Fourth Street on Thursday to the Russian River Senior Center.

The 1880s house, one of the few homes of that era that survived an 1894 fire that raced through Guerneville, will serve as a classroom or meeting room.

Moving the house clears a city block, which has had an apartment building and auto repair shop, making way for Burbank Housing's Fife Creek Commons low-income apartments.
