Pumpkin jam

EDITOR: The pumpkin man just doesn't get ("Maze and delays return," Tuesday). He thinks his patch is no more distracting than the auto mall? He's delusional. People in cars don't slow down to eye-ball the auto mall, nor the factory stores, nor the Novato Mall. They are not attractive nuisances.

It took me 17 minutes to drive from the Rohnert Park Expressway to the pumpkin patch recently. Multiply that wasted time by hundred of cars, fried tempers and rear-end accidents. Check with the Airporter bus owners to see how this affects their schedule. And still there is no call for a view-blocking fence.
