McGuire's the one

EDITOR: I have known both Deborah Fudge and Mike McGuire since before either of them served in public office.

I worked on Fudge's 2006 supervisor campaign and McGuire's city council campaigns. From those experiences, I decided that he would work harder than anyone else in the race, run the best organized campaign, be a great supervisor and deserved my support.

Since then my decision has been fully vindicated as I have seen him work so hard listening to people all over our district. On the school board, he led the effort to rebuild decaying schools; as a city councilman, he led the efforts to restore Foss Creek and co-founded the Clean Water Coalition.

We need our next supervisor to be able to face the serious challenges we face as a county: job creation, a balanced budget, school improvement and protection of our water and environment. McGuire has been endorsed by a wide range of organizations that recognize his ability to help bring the whole county together to tackle tough issues.

Please join me in voting for Mike McGuire as our next county supervisor.
