King backer

EDITOR: I attended the North Bay Labor Council meeting as a union member and said this to the 2nd District supervisor candidates, "Petaluma's City Council has laid off, abolished jobs, outsourced the work to companies who hired back people to do the same job for less money, no benefits or union representation. If elected to county supervisor, would you do this?"

Mike Healy was a no-show, Pam Torliatt and David Rabbitt thanked me and rambled on, never really answering the question. John King said he would not.

He would take a $50,000 a year pay cut to create a job in his south county office. He said he would bring county services to Petaluma, so we don't have to drive to Santa Rosa.

King, an accountant, said there is wasteful spending. He wants a full audit of the Sonoma County Water Agency and other funds.

Healy, Torliatt and Rabbitt constantly fight with each other and can't agree on anything, so nothing gets done while our city goes down the toilet. If you want more of the same old thing then vote for them. If you want a better future, vote for John King.
