Carmina Salcido prepares for book signings

The busy life of Carmina Salcido will likely shift into overdrive following today's airing of the hour-long ABC News 20/20 program on her nearly miraculous survival of Ram? Salcido's murder spree in Sonoma Valley 20 years ago.

Carmina Salcido, 23, has received a steady stream of requests for media interviews and bookstore appearances since the book she co-authored, "Not Lost Forever," went on sale 10 days ago.

Public interest in her story is certain to be stoked by the 20/20 report, which will show at 10 p.m. tonight on ABC.

Carmina Salcido will make her first bookstore appearance at 2 p.m. Saturday at Copperfield's Books in Petaluma, 140 Kentucky St. "Not Lost Forever," which Salcido co-authored with Steve Jackson, has quickly become Copperfield's No. 1 selling non-fiction hardcover book.

On Sunday, Oct. 25, Salcido will speak at a 4 p.m. event at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E. Napa St. in Sonoma. Readers' Books of Sonoma will sponsor that talk and will charge $5 at the door.

Salcido lives in Sonoma and works at a dog-grooming shop.
