Plea in Rohnert Park crosswalk death expected Friday

Rohnert Park manslaughter suspect Kaitlyn Dunaway is expected to enter a plea in court Friday to the charge she caused the death of a toddler and seriously injured the child's mother.

Dunaway 18, did not appear at a brief court hearing Monday, where the plea proceedings were postponed until Friday.

Dunaway is facing a misdemeanor charge of manslaughter following the death of Calli Murray, 2.

The Rohnert Park toddler and her mother, Ling Murray, 42, were walking across Snyder Lane the night of Dec. 1, when Dunaway's car hit them.

The mother suffered serious injuries and continues to recuperate.
