CHP targets motorcycle racing, reckless driving on Stewarts Points-Skaggs Springs Road

The CHP is cracking down on reckless driving and motorists racing in west Sonoma County.

Beginning this weekend and lasting throughout the summer and early fall, the CHP announced Sunday it is focusing special attention on Stewarts Points-Skaggs Springs Road.

On Saturday, officers stopped about 20 motorcyclists to warn them to ride safely and within the speed limits on the winding rural road.

Officers and CHP aircraft will patrol the area again today and throughout the rest of the summer and early fall, according to the agency.
