Sonoma real estate firm jumps to Better Homes and Gardens

Wine Country Group Realtors, a Sonoma real estate firm with seven offices in Sonoma and Napa counties, is merging with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Mason-McDuffie.

The Sonoma company formerly was aligned with Frank Howard Allen. With the merger, Wine Country Group will grow to nine offices and 180 agents.

Wine County Group executives Earl Shuttleworth and Gerrett Snedaker will continue to manage the company's offices and assume leadership roles for the region.

The move will help the group adapt to changes in the business, Snedaker said Thursday.

"It provides our agents with a significant upgrade in technology and marketing services, and gives them the tools they need to speak to today's consumer," he said.

"We are joining a powerhouse brokerage firm with a strong legacy," Snedaker said. "Mason-McDuffie dates back more than 120 years in the Bay Area. Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate is a fresh, innovative lifestyle brand that is the real estate brand of the future."

Starting this week, Wine Country Group will have offices in Sonoma, Healdsburg, Sebastopol, Cloverdale, Bodega Bay, Glen Ellen, Kenwood, Napa and St. Helena.

Pleasanton-based Better Homes has 40 offices in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
