Three men arrested in Santa Rosa marijuana robbery

Three men suspected of robbing a couple of their marijuana at gunpoint Friday were caught a short time later in their silver Cadillac with pot in the car, Santa Rosa police said.

A handgun believed to have been used in the 1:20 p.m. confrontation outside the Applebee's restaurant on Santa Rosa Avenue was found dropped on the road a short distance from where the car was stopped, police said.

A Lake County couple told police they were robbed in the restaurant parking lot by two men they'd met a few weeks earlier at a Santa Rosa medical marijuana dispensary.

Police Sgt. David Linscomb said the victims, ages 20 and 18, had arranged a meeting and were near their car when the two men approached.

One of the men produced a handgun, and the men took the marijuana and related paraphernalia and fled in a car driven by a third man, police said.

A sheriff's deputy spotted a Cadillac matching the description of the car on Petaluma Hill Road near Adobe Road in Penngrove, police said.

Authorities arrested Najee Antoine Pierson, 23, of Larkspur and Julian Sean Kreuzer, 20, and Tyler Roger Crane, 21, both of Novato, on suspicion of armed robbery.

They were booked into the Sonoma County Jail, where Kreuzer remained Saturday on a no-bail hold for violation of probation. Kreuzer also was in custody on bail of $40,000. Crane was released after posting bail.
