Mosquito district to consider annual fee amount

The Marin/Sonoma Mosquito and Vector Control District has invited the public to speak about the fee it charges to taxpayers at its board meeting Wednesday.

The board will decide whether to adjust the rate, which ranges from $10 to $20 per household. General Manager Jim Wanderscheid has recommended keeping the rate the same as last year.

The district has a $10 million surplus, according to its auditor.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at 595 Helman Lane, Cotati.
