Obamacare and eugenics

EDITOR: Since when does The Press Democrat permit people to espouse such hate as eugenics? You posted a writer who said, "It is well known that the poor and uneducated have the highest percentage of children" ("Church and state," Letters, Wednesday) Hmm, I get it. Not all people are equal; especially the poor, the uneducated or the unborn.

This whole community has a history in eugenics. The Sonoma Development Center, at one time went gang busters for it. So why not abortion? Whoo hoo! How progressive! As a practicing and believing Catholic who upholds the teachings and values of his church, as chairman of the theology department at a Catholic high school in the Bay Area, I am supposed to violate my conscience for the sake of those who, by their own choice, work at Catholic institutions and want me to pay for their pro-death decisions. Ultimately, that is what this is about.

My solution is this: Immediately close all Catholic hospitals, schools and social services and knock down the buildings. Then demand that the next day the government provide health care, education, and social services. Blackmail is blackmail, and this is what Obamacare is doing.
