Healdsburg man suspected of exposing self

A 25-year-old Healdsburg man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of exposing himself to two women downtown.

Aaron John Villarreal was being held on $30,000 bail at the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of committing crimes against the elderly and three counts of indecent exposure, jail staff said.

A woman called police at about 4:20 p.m. to report that a man "sexually exposed himself to her" twice in downtown, Healdsburg Police Det. Nick Castaneda said.

The first encounter occurred at the Goodwill on Healdsburg Avenue and she encounteredthe man again on the 300 block of Fitch Street, he said.

As officers interviewed the woman, a similar report came in from the 200 block of Matheson Street, Castaneda said.

Officers detained a man riding a bicycle nearby on North Street, who was later identified as Villarreal, at about 4:45 p.m., Castaneda said. The women identified him as the culprit, he said.
