Mendocino County wildfire 95% contained

Fire crews are well on their way to fully containing the 4-day-old Flynn Fire in Mendocino County: Cal Fire reported the blaze was 95 percent contained Thursday morning, though some torching inside the fire lines continued.

Cal Fire also has adjusted it original measure of the fire's size, saying it now appears to cover 195 acres, rather than 200 as reported earlier.

The wildfire started Monday afternoon off Flynn Creek Road in the rural community of Comptche, inland from Mendocino, between the coast and Ukiah.

Five structures, including at least one residence, reportedly have been destroyed.

The cause remained under investigation, Cal Fire said.
