A motorcyclist killed in a three-car collision south of Sonoma on Thursday night has been identified as Heath Kingsley Hunter, 43, a resident of Sonoma, the Sonoma County Coroner's Office said.
A Sonoma woman who was ejected from Hunter's Harley-Davidson motorcycle also was severely injured in the 8:05 p.m. crash, the CHP said.
Angelica Saragosa, 34, was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa and later flown to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where she was in critical condition Friday, hospital personnel said.
The crash occurred on Arnold Drive, north of Watmaugh Road. Hunter, headed southbound, rear-ended a Dodge pickup, lost control and careened into the northbound lane, the CHP said.
The motorcycle was struck head-on by a Nissan Altima driven by Sonoma resident Christine Luckin. Hunter was pushed under the car, causing fatal injuries, authorities said.
Saragosa was ejected, hit the windshield and was thrown approximately 40 feet before she landed in a drainage ditch on the east side of Arnold Drive, authorities said.
The driver of the pickup, Fernando Castro, 47, suffered minor injuries in the incident, the CHP said. Castro also is a Sonoma resident.
Luckin, 43, was not reported to have been injured.
