49ers report card: Special teams spoils shot at straight A's

49ers report card for San Francisco's 45-3 win against the Buffalo Bills:

Quarterbacks: A

Alex Smith made all the right throws, one of his best games ever, and Colin Kaepernick hurt the Bills, too.

Running Backs: A

Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter combined for 189 rushing yards.

Receivers: A

Watching TD catches by Crabtree, Williams and Manningham, it's shocking how much better this unit is in 2012.

Offensive Line: A

Complete domination of the Buffalo D-line, considered a team strength.

Defensive Line: A

Statistically, a quiet day for the front three, though they controlled the line of scrimmage.

Linebackers: A

Patrick Willis' forced fumble helped turn the game. Ahmad Brooks had a sack.

Defensive Backs: A

Chris Culliver and Dashon Goldson had takeaways, and Ryan Fitzpatrick rarely had open receivers.

Special Teams: C

Spotty kick coverage was about the only real blemish in this game.

Coaching/Overall: A

The 49ers aren't just winning these days. They are destroying opponents.
