Fixing the results?

EDITOR: With regard to Mickey Mouse being the unofficial top write-in vote getter for Sonoma County ("No more funny business," Thursday), I suspect that not counting such votes this year is really an insidious plot by the registrar of voters to make sure that Mickey Mouse is never dethroned. After all, 84 years of success is a pretty good track record. But it is clear to me that this year Big Bird of Sesame Street will surpass him. So I ask, is it merely coincidence that the registrar picked this year to stop counting?
