SWAT team, police search Sebastopol home

Petaluma police officers and the city's SWAT team were in southern Sebastopol Tuesday morning conducting a search, police officials reported.

Police officials declined to give more details on what the search involved.

Lt. Tim Lyons said about 15 officers, including the SWAT team went to the home in the 1200 block of Bloomfield Road at about 8:30 a.m.

The road was blocked briefly as officers alerted people inside they were there and began their search, Lyons said.

Bloomfield Road is a long, rural roadway that stretches from Highway 116 in southern Sebastopol south toward Petaluma.
