Cazadero crash injures 3; driver arrested on suspicion of DUI

Three Sonoma County residents were injured in an early Friday morning crash in Cazadero that resulted in the the driver's arrest for suspected drunken driving, the CHP said.

Cazadero resident Randy McGinnis, 43, was on Cazadero Highway near Paradise Grove around 3:10 a.m. when he ran off the road and struck a tree, the CHP said.

McGinnis suffered back and head injuries in incident, authorities said, but was arrested later at the hospital when he displayed signs of "extreme intoxication," the CHP said.

His two passengers - neither of whom was seatbelted — suffered multiple fractures and additional injuries, though none was considered life-threatening, the CHP said. They were identified as Jade Seitz, 27, of Healdsburg, and Kathryn Morgan, 34, of Sebastopol.

McGinnis was arrested for suspicion of felony drunken driving causing injury but remained at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, authorities said.
