Elderly woman hurt after car backs into her at Santa Rosa mobile home park

An 80-year-old woman was struck by a car and transported to Kaiser Hospital with minor injuries, a dispatcher from Redcom, Sonoma County's emergency dispatch, said.

The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. outside the club house in "The Country," a mobile home park designed for seniors at 1180 Fulton Rd. The driver was backing out of a parking space and struck the woman, said Sergeant Josh Ludtke of the Santa Rosa Police Department.

"Someone backed up into her, which caused her to fall over, but she had very minor injuries," Ludtke said. There was nothing suspicious about the accident, Ludtke said.
