IRS agents raid 2 Ukiah restaurants

IRS agents raided two Ukiah restaurants this week, poring over documents and computers before leaving, employees said.

An IRS spokeswoman confirmed agents were at the North State Street restaurants - Walters' Caf?and Ruen Tong Thai Cuisine - on Wednesday but said she cannot release any information about the investigation.

The owner of the restaurants, Steve Walters, was not available Thursday for comment. Employees said the restaurants were open for business as usual.

Ukiah police said they were not provided with details of the investigation.
