Letter of the Day: Occupying a store

Occupying a store

EDITOR: When Occupy Wall Street members tried to camp out to protest the greed and corruption in our financial institutions, they were told to leave, and their campsites taken down. Why then are shoppers allowed to camp out for days before Thanksgiving in front of stores to get a bargain? Some stores even set up special places for theses shoppers to stay. Why is getting the best deal on a big-screen television acceptable to authorities and legitimate protest is not? I guess the almighty dollar speaks loudly.
