Driver suspected on drugs in Napa County head-on crash

A head-on crash in Napa County Tuesday night involved major injuries and a suspected driver who was under the influence of drugs, reported the CHP.

Driver William Fontana, 46, was arrested in the 7:20 p.m. crash on White Cottage Road in Angwin.

Fontana drove across double yellow lines and into the path of driver Charles Pina, 44, reported the CHP.

Pina suffered major injuries and was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa.

Fontana had minor injuries and was taken to Napa County Jail.

Both men are from Angwin.
