Cyclist struck by pickup in Santa Rosa

A bicyclist suffered minor injuries in a crash Friday afternoon with a large pickup at Hoen Avenue and Farmers Lane in Santa Rosa, police said.

Initial reports indicate the bicyclist was heading northbound on the wrong side of Farmers Lane when a driver turning south from Hoen Avenue crashed into her just before 12:30 p.m., police Sgt. Brad Conners said.

The man in the truck was looking left and didn't see the cyclist on the shoulder to the right.

She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, he said.
