Santa Rosa Plaza gets a makeover

Renovation is well under way at Santa Rosa Plaza, with construction crews pouring concrete walkways and updating entryways.

Inside, cushy seats have replaced old wooden benches, family restrooms and nursing stations have been updated, and new overhead lighting fixtures allow more sunlight to brighten the halls.

Construction began in January, and is scheduled to be completed in the fall before the start of the holiday shopping season. The new controlled parking program, where shoppers will pay to park for more than 90 minutes, begins Aug. 6.
