Five Willits men arrested in pot raids

Local, state and federal law enforcement officials Wednesday eradicated 2,382 marijuana plants, seized more than 200 pounds of processed pot and arrested five people at several Willits-area locations, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies, assisted by probation, Drug Enforcement Agency and Fish and Wildlife agents, served eight search warrants in the Black Hawk Drive and Walker Lake Road areas of Willits, Sheriff’s officials said.

They did not specify where the marijuana or suspects were located.

Arrested were Dennis Quinliven, 35, of Ukiah, and Jose Licea, 40, Darrel Owens, 47, Immanuel Nemethy, 32, and William Healy, 36, all of Willits.

They were arrested on suspicion of cultivation and possession of marijuana for sale. Owens, who is on probation, additionally was charged with probation violation and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Additional arrests are expected, Sheriff’s officials said.
