Overnight RV ban OK'd for many San Francisco streets

SAN FRANCISCO — Supervisors have approved a large-vehicle overnight parking ban on many San Francisco streets.

Recreational vehicles, campers, buses and commercial trucks cannot park between midnight to 6 a.m. on streets near the beach and Golden Gate Park and places like the Bayview district, Dogpatch and Potrero Hill.

The San Francisco Chronicle (bit.ly/PFyJ0i) says the ordinance is in response to resident complaints about super-sized vehicles clogging their neighborhoods.

The ordinance, which was approved Tuesday on a 7-4 vote, only affects areas where the oversize vehicles have been a problem.
