Searchers Thursday spent another day looking for a Windsor man missing in the Trinity Alps who disappeared Saturday while on a hike.

Steve Morris, 59, a family therapist and an experienced hiker, had been on a weekend backpacking trip in the Trinity County mountain range with men from his Santa Rosa church.

They were on a day hike, heading down a mountain peak, when he got ahead and never returned to camp.

A Trinity County sheriff’s spokeswoman Thursday said there was no new information on the search and that the effort continued.
