Two people were arrested in Upper Lake on Wednesday on suspicion of cultivating and producing marijuana and other drugs, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Reid Lyndon Bruce, 56, and Crystal Lynn Pulido, 45, were arrested in their Upper Lake home in the 4000 block of West State Highway 20 by sheriff's detectives who were there to serve a search warrant, the Sheriff's Office said.

More than 250 marijuana plants along with 11.6 grams of methamphetamine and 21.6 pounds of processed pot plants were seized or eradicated during the search.

When sheriff's detectives served the warrant, they said Bruce attempted to flee the home but was taken into custody in his backyard. Both he and Pulido, who was arrested inside the house, were booked into the Lake County Jail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bruce was also arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest.

Both suspects denied knowledge about the pot plants growing in the back of their house, the Sheriff's Office said.
