UNION CITY - Police say five people were shot at a cemetery in the San Francisco Bay Area and that two are in critical condition.

The Union City Police Department says in a statement Friday that officers called to the Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery Thursday evening found three people with gunshot wounds near the cemetery's main mortuary.

Police say officers found a fourth victim nearby and that a fifth person self-transported to a hospital.

The department says the motive for the shooting remains under investigation and that no arrests have been made.

The police news release says there was more than one shooter but offers no other information.
