Body identified as missing Bay Area federal investigator

OAKLAND - Authorities say a body found near a Northern California park last week is that of a missing federal investigator.

Oakland police on Tuesday identified the remains as those of 50-year-old Sandra Coke of Oakland.

Search and rescue crews found the body Friday afternoon in a woodsy area near Lagoon Valley Park in unincorporated Vacaville.

Coke worked as a capital case investigator for the federal public defender's office in Sacramento. She was last seen in Oakland days earlier.

Oakland police have identified Coke's former boyfriend, Randy Alana, as a person of interest in the case. Police say he and Coke were seen together Aug. 4.
