Paraglider plunges to his death in Bay Area open space

WALNUT CREEK - Authorities say a paraglider fell to his death in an open space in Walnut Creek.

Lt. Lanny Edwards said the man fell around 6 p.m. Sunday in the Lime Ridge Open Space.

Rescue crews pulled him from the open space and took him to a hospital, where he died.

Other paragliders witnessed the fall, but the circumstances leading to the death weren't released by police.
