Partial closure set next week for Highway 1 north of Bodega Bay

Highway 1 north of Bodega Bay will be partially closed all next week as Caltrans crews begin emergency repair of a culvert near Portuguese Beach.

One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday while repairs are made to the culvert, which was damaged by erosion. If necessary, there also may be one or two nights of one-way traffic control with flaggers.

Depending on weather, work could continue for about 10 days.

Caltrans asks drivers to move cautiously through the construction zones, follow the direction of flaggers and leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of yours.
