Santa Rosa gets eighth-inch of rain
The North Bay received a refreshing spritz of rain Saturday, with forecasts calling for sunny skies today and through most of the week.
A little more than an eighth of an inch of rain fell in Santa Rosa over a 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to AccuWeather.
Cazadero recorded the highest rainfall totals in Sonoma County over that time frame, with about two-thirds of an inch.
There were no major problems reported as a result of the rain-slicked roads, according to the CHP.
The rain was expected to clear out Saturday night, bringing sunny skies to the region Sunday.
The forecast called for a high temperature of 68 in Santa Rosa, with temperatures gradually warming through the week.
Rain is expected to return to the North Bay Thursday, according to Duane Dykema, a forecaster for the U.S. Weather Service in Monterey.
“It looks pretty promising that we’ll get some rain next week into next weekend,” he said.
