A 40-year-old Santa Rosa woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and child endangerment Wednesday after she appeared drunk when picking up her child at school, Santa Rosa police officials said.

Tina Maria Wee was on probation for a prior drunken-driving conviction Wednesday when she picked up one child at a preschool and drove to Brook Hill Elementary School on Vallejo Street to pick up her 11-year-old daughter, Sgt. Lisa Banayat said.

The older child noticed that Wee appeared drunk and called her father, who told the child not to get into the car, Banayat said. The father called police at about 1:57 p.m.

Wee failed a field sobriety test and was booked into the Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail on suspicion of two counts of child endangerment and DUI, according to police and jail records. The children were released to their father.
