Pair of small earthquakes rattle Napa
A magnitude-3.1 earthquake rattled Napans preparing their Thanksgiving dinners.
The small shaker struck at 12:36 p.m. Thursday, about 6 miles northwest of Napa and 5 miles northeast of Sonoma.
A smaller magnitude-2.5 earthquake struck about two hours earlier at 10:27 a.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblors came just over three months after a magnitude-6.0 quake shook the city, causing widespread damage.
No property damage or injuries were reported Thursday, according to a Napa police dispatcher. The department received fewer than 10 calls from people inquiring about the quakes.
