Sunday memorial set for Healdsburg sheep rancher Bruce Campbell

Friends and family will gather Sunday to remember Healdsburg sheep rancher Bruce Campbell, whose lifelong dedication to North Coast agriculture makes the event venue - the Sonoma County 4-H Center - a fitting choice.

Campbell, the founder of CK Lamb and an innovator in farm-to-table marketing, died Dec. 1. He was 64.

He and his siblings - the “Campbell Kids” of CK Lamb - grew up rearing and showing livestock as young 4-H members before Bruce Campbell moved on to serve as fair judge, auctioneer and premium meat producer.

The memorial will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the 4-H Center in Rohnert Park, at 6445 Commerce Blvd.

An agricultural scholarship has been set up in tribute to Campbell through the Farm Bureau Foundation of Sonoma County, which will administer the fund. Donations can be made to the Farm Bureau Foundation, 970 Piner Road, Santa Rosa, 95403.
