Clearlake police arrested a man suspected of giving methamphetamine to two teen girls and sexually assaulting one.

Kurt Norling, 51, of Clearlake remained in custody Tuesday in the Lake County Jail with bail set at $100,000. He was booked into jail on Saturday following an investigation into allegations he’d been giving drugs to the girls, ages 14 and 15, at his home.

Police were alerted Friday that a possible sexual assault victim was at the emergency room at St. Helena Hospital, Clearlake Sgt. Nick Bennett said Tuesday.

The Clearlake girls told police that Norling had given them drugs while they were hanging out at his home the prior weekend. At one point, they said, he locked them in a room for hours while he sought more drugs.

Norling was arrested on suspicion of six felony counts, including two counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and false imprisonment.

Norling’s jail booking information lists his employment as a septic tank engineer.

Bennett asked anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Ryan Peterson at 707-994-8251, ext. 320.
