A Ukiah woman remained in the Mendocino County jail on Monday on suspicion of assault and battery charges for allegedly hitting her boyfriend in the head with a baseball bat.

Elizabeth McAllister, 32, is being held on $220,000 bail, according to Mendocino County jail officials. Her boyfriend told deputies Thursday that McAllister struck him in the forehead during an argument on Crestview Drive. He had a bump on his head the size of a silver dollar, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responding to the scene found McAllister hiding under some clothes in a bedroom and took her into custody.
