Searches for missing Bay Area teen ending after 3 years

The father of the girl, who disappeared from the South Bay in 2012, say they've run out of viable search areas.|

MORGAN HILL — The searches for a missing San Francisco Bay Area teen are coming to an end.

KGO reports (http://abc7ne.ws/1F5j03d ) Tuesday that police believe 15-year-old Sierra LaMar of Morgan Hill was kidnapped and murdered in March 2012.

She disappeared on her way to school.

Volunteers have searched for her weekly.

The girl's father Steve LaMar says they've run out of viable search areas.

Searches will only take place when new tips and information come in.

Antolin Garcia-Torres has been charged in the presumed killing and disappearance of the girl.

He is slated to return to court next month where the judge may set a trial date.
