Rohnert Park public safety officers Thursday arrested a man suspected of setting a woman’s car ablaze in January.

Alexis Gonzalez was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to the car Jan. 29 on Redwood Drive. In the incident, the woman reported having an argument with the suspect moments before her car became engulfed in flames.

Investigators identified Gonzalez as the suspect in the case. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on charges of arson of property and arson of an inhabited structure, since the woman was living in her vehicle at the time of the fire.

Gonzalez’s age and hometown were not disclosed by the Rohnert Park Public Safety Department. Officers also did not share information about whether or not the alleged victim knew Gonzalez.
