Clearlake police are looking for a local resident suspected of ditching his car and drugs inside it after a high-speed chase with officers, police said.

An officer had tried to stop the man's black Dodge Charger at about 4:30 p.m. Monday for speeding but the driver took off and led the officer on a short, quick chase before he stopped and ran, according to Clearlake police.

Officials identified the driver as Dylan Thomas Bacon, 36.

Inside the car was a female companion and 26 grams of meth, nine pounds of processed marijuana and sales and packaging materials, police said. Officers impounded Bacon's car, believing he was selling drugs.

Bacon, who has a history of drug convictions in Yolo and Sacramento counties, is required to allow random searches of himself and his property.

Police asked anyone who knows of the man's location to contact Officer Travis Parson at 707-994-8251 ext. 507.
