Santa Rosa police combed the streets Friday, searching for dozens of people with arrest warrants involving DUI and driver’s license violations.
Officers arrested two suspects, Santa Rosa police Sgt. Mike Numainville said. They either failed to show up in court or violated their probation and could now face additional jail time, he said.
Warrant sweeps can deter driver from driving under the influence, police said.
Law enforcement agencies routinely band together to do the sweeps, typically targeting repeat offenders and those who have a suspended license because of a prior DUI.
