Authorities have recovered the body of a 28-year-old Windsor man who was among four people who perished in a boating accident off Tomales Point last week, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said.

The remains of Ryan Viall were found Wednesday afternoon along an inaccessible portion of shoreline at the Point Reyes National Seashore, near Bird Rock and the spot where searchers found the wreckage of the 21-foot fishing boat last weekend, authorities said.

Viall, an electrician, had been fishing for salmon out of Bodega Bay with two neighbors and the recreational vessel’s skipper, Rick Hargreaves, 59, of Santa Rosa when they encountered rough seas and apparently crashed, officials said.

The remains of two of those aboard - Hargreaves, an alternative education teacher for the Sonoma County Office of Education, and retired SCOE instructor Diane Kelly of Windsor - were located Saturday.

The search for the two others - Kelly’s partner, David Breeden, and the couple’s neighbor, Viall - was suspended Sunday afternoon.

But because of the passage of several days, the National Park Service on Wednesday requested that the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, Henry 1, conduct an aerial search, Marin County officials said.

Viall’s body was found at about 3:30 p.m., authorities said.

Breeden’s remains have yet to be recovered.
