A Sebastopol man suspected of driving under the influence suffered life-threatening injuries in a motorcycle crash Thursday night west of Rohnert Park, the CHP said.

Carl Ramirez, 25, was driving a 2015 Yamaha Enduro motorcycle west on Wilfred Avenue when the bike struck a gate where the road ends, Sgt. David Derczo said. The crash was reported to emergency dispatchers at 10:35 p.m.

Derczo said the motorcycle was traveling an estimated 60 mph at the time of the crash.

Ramirez, who was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital to be treated.
