The CHP on Sunday was continuing to investigate a hit-and-run collision that left a motorcyclist with major injuries in Napa.

The CHP said the rider was northbound on Highway 121, or Monticello Road, north of Vichy Avenue, around 5:40 p.m. Saturday when a Dodge Charger coming in the opposite direction crossed over the double yellow lines, hitting the 1996 BMW motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider, identified as Harry George Burrows, 54, of Moraga was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital.

The female driver of the Dodge Charger, who was alone in the car, fled the scene on foot, according to authorities.

A CHP spokesman on Sunday said Burrows remained at the hospital with major injuries.
