Mendocino County Sheriff’s authorities are investigating the deaths of two Albion residents as a suspected murder suicide.

The names of the victims, a 77-year-old woman and 80-year-old man, have not been released, pending notification of family members.

The two were discovered Saturday morning in a Navarro Ridge Road residence by a neighbor concerned about their welfare, sheriff’s authorities said. The neighbor, who peered through a window, reported the two residents appeared to be dead.

When deputies arrived, they found the woman was deceased and the man suffering from life-threatening injuries. Sheriff’s authorities did not reveal the type of injuries.

The man was transported to an out-of-county hospital, where he died Sunday, authorities said.

The investigation is continuing, authorities said.
